Christian Education

Christian education is important to us here at RPCOG. You can enjoy a relaxed setting and casual dress bible study. We offer two courses each week to encourage spiritual growth and maturity. Class #1 meets in the main sanctuary. Class #2 meets in the Hospitality room of the main building. Each course is offered for one month. Wednesday's at 7:00 PM

Continued Education

Those called to the ministry after their formal education has been completed often find that the opportunity to attend a college or seminary requires financial responsibilities that are difficult to meet, especially with a family. With the understanding that ministerial training is needed, the Church has instituted the Certificate In Ministerial Studies (CIMS), a nontraditional training curriculum, that provides an opportunity for every minister to receive ministerial training in a Distance Learning Center or via personal or Internet study.

The Certificate In Ministerial Studies (CIMS) consists of 21 courses, offering 42 credits. Of the 42 credits, 34 are required for the CIMS certificate. While CIMS is open to any qualified applicant, the program was designed for ministers who hold Church of God credentials or who have been set forth for ministry by a local church.

The Great Commission Is The Solution! Adult Bible class offered for July & August. Wednesday's @ 7:00 PM. Books and materials are free of charge.

How can we go "Forward Together" and reach the communities, cities, and countries in our world with the transforming message of liberty and the new life in Jesus Christ? Build On the Base! How can we go "Forward Together" in total obedience embracing the full range of the missional mandate clearly set forth in Holy Scripture? Build On the Base!

Our base is The Great Commission. The Great Commission reveals the heart of God for the world. "It influences all the Church does: how we worship, how we train leaders, and how we do social ministry" (Chuck Lawless and Thom S. Rainer). "Fulfilling the Great Commission, 'go and make disciples of all nations,' is the supreme purpose of the Church and must guide the entire mission, establish the priorities, and coordinate all activities." (Donald McGavran). In the formative years of the Church of God we experienced dramatic growth. This success was directly linked to "the freshness of our anointing, the eagerness of our witness, and the genuineness of our testimony." The Great Commission was at the forefront of ministry.
